Begin your morning with a complimentary continental breakfast served in Beatty, Nevada - your first stop as you travel through the magnificent Mojave Desert. Then it's on to Scotty's Castle, a Moorish-style landmark, where your castle guide will take you back to a century long ago. After your 60-minute guided castle tour, you will have 30 minutes of free time to explore the castle grounds and enjoy a complimentary picnic lunch served on the grounds of Scotty's Castle.
After lunch you will continue on to your third stop, Ubehebe Crater. The crater is all that remains from a volcanic eruption so violent the volcano itself was destroyed. The crater is nearly a half-mile across and about 800 feet deep.
Then it's on to Furnace Creek Ranch museum, where you can learn about the history of Death Valley. Next stop is Badwater, the lowest spot in the Western Hemisphere at 282 feet below sea level with a permanent spring-fed pool where you actually can walk on the salt flats. Your final stop of the tour is at Rhyolite Ghost Town.
As a special memento of your adventure, you will receive a Death Valley Explorer Certificate!
